What this test checks
This test plays left, right, stereo, fixed-tone, and frequency-sweep signals so you can check channel assignment, audibility, obvious distortion, and interruptions.
How to interpret results
Left and right controls should sound from the matching side. A clean tone or sweep without rattling, dropouts, or unexpected channel mixing suggests the current browser output path is working.
Limitations
This is a subjective listening check, not calibrated acoustic analysis. Hearing range, room acoustics, volume processing, wireless codecs, and speaker design affect what you hear.
Troubleshooting
Start at low volume, select the intended output in system settings, disable spatial or enhancement effects, reconnect headphones or speakers, test each channel, and compare another audio source.
